Things are moving right along here. The Ethical Society Forum here in Maplewood has invited me to speak about LL on December 9, 2007 in their Prospect Avenue Hall. Their host asked that I talk about LL and also about my growing up in beautiful downtown Topeka's own Mud Town. That will be fun. I love recalling my years there because that ghetto provided me with a wealth of instruction and support and affection from all quarters enscounced therein, from the town drunk to every professional who lived and worked there. That included every single business person that one needed. They all lived in the area and had stores and/or offices within a few steps from 807 Wood Street, my home there.
Did I tell you that a man came to my door on Thursday and greeted me with, "We had the same father!" Well, it surprised me too! He said that his father said the same things to him that Dad said to us. He is a local owner of an electrical contracting firm, saw the flyer, bought the book, read it and loved it. He said that he had to meet me to thank me for LL and has bought copies for his four kids. I like him better and better.
We are sponsoring an hour on a local FM radio station. We are looking forward to learning how effective that is in promoting LL.
CJ will be 2 years old on tomorrow, the 22nd. A small party is being plannd for him at his school.
